Interactive Care Reviewer – a more efficient way to obtain immediate authorizations

An immediate authorization decision may be available to you when you use Interactive Care Reviewer (ICR) to initiate a request for precertification of some inpatient and outpatient procedures.  More services have been recently added to the list.

To find out the specific details on those services, go to the Availity Portal and select Payer Spaces and click on the Anthem Blue Cross logo. Scroll down and select Education and Reference Center l Communication & Education. From the Communication & Education drop down menu, select Interactive Care Reviewer l ICR Immediate Decision List.
