Access to quality care with Anthem in Wisconsin is expanding

In 2024, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield (Anthem) is in more counties than ever before.

Individuals purchasing insurance on and off Healthcare.gov have more choices. Open enrollment begins on November 1, 2023, and runs through January 15, 2024. We are excited to offer more choice and an expanded service area in Wisconsin for plans effective January 1, 2024.

Our Pathway HMO network is available to individuals living in nine counties: Calumet, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Outagamie, Ozaukee, Racine, Washington, Waukesha, and Winnebago. This is an HMO Product on Pathway Network with no gatekeeper or mandatory PCP requirement. Services are limited to urgent/emergent care outside of the Pathway network.

Our Blue Preferred POS network is now available to individuals living in 71 counties and offers our broadest network access across the state of Wisconsin. This is a POS Product on Blue Preferred POS Network with no gatekeeper or mandatory PCP requirement.

New in 2024 — We are also adding our Blue Priority HMO network to individuals living in seven counties: Brown, Door, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Oconto, Rock, and Walworth. Individuals that choose a Blue Priority plan will be able to access providers throughout 58 counties in Wisconsin. This is an HMO Product on Blue Priority Network with no gatekeeper or mandatory PCP requirement. Services are limited to urgent/emergent care outside of the Blue Priority network.
