Important update: vaccine billing policy reversed — check your affected claims

We recently implemented a change that caused vaccine codes to be denied if the administration code is not billed on the same claim or billed in the claim history for the same date of service.

We are reversing this change and will be reprocessing all affected claims denied with reason codes k05 or k56. Affected claims will also include the claim adjustment reason code 107: The related or qualifying claim/service was not identified on this claim. Usage: Refer to the 835 Healthcare Policy Identification Segment (loop 2110 Service Payment Information REF), if present.
