MealAdvisor pilot supporting the health of our Medicaid members
Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield (Anthem) is taking a proactive approach to disease management and prevention by launching MealAdvisor to help members manage a healthy weight through food and nutritional support.
This year long pilot uses an app to monitor behaviors, provide customized recipes, and assist members in weekly meal planning. We believe helping members identify where they can make small changes can result in improvements to their health and create big end-to-end results over time.
MealAdvisor pilot overview
Eligibility: Anthem members who have obesity along with other co-morbidities and have a history of digital engagement will be invited through email and postcard to opt-in to the pilot.
The pilot:
- Participants will download the app and will be encouraged to use the app’s tools, including a meal planning smart shopping lists, and prescription refill reminders.
