2021 Anthem Individual Health Plans

For coverage starting in 2021, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield is offering Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliant Individual health plans as well as Anthem Enhanced Choice health plans that are not ACA-compliant.

 

ACA compliant Individual health plans can be purchased from the Georgia Health Insurance Marketplace, commonly referred to as the exchange, or from Anthem.com. These Plans can also be purchased off the exchange from traditional sources, such as a sales agent. In 2021, Anthem is offering ACA-compliant health plans in 137 counties. That is an increase of 31 counties from past years.

 

Anthem Enhanced Choice (AEC) health plans are new limited duration plans being offered by Anthem in 2021 and are not required to be ACA-compliant. AEC health plan applicants are medically underwritten.  The AEC plans can remain in effect for up to 36 months, include a benefit period maximum and are available statewide.
