Connecticut fee schedule revision October 2024
At Anthem, we value our physician partnerships and appreciate the quality care you provide to our members. As part of our continued partnership with you, we are pleased to share that we are updating our commercial fee schedules for Connecticut, which will result in an overall net increase to our physician network fees starting this fall.
Anthem periodically reviews and updates its professional fee schedules to ensure access to high-quality, affordable healthcare for our members. This evaluation includes competitive benchmarking, analysis of CMS physician fee schedule rates and regulations, consideration of changes in care delivery models, and the impact of rate changes on the consumers we serve. Non-MD providers are paid at a percentage of the applicable fee schedule rate based on their level of education, licensure level, and how Medicare pays them.
These changes apply to Century 90 and Century Preferred programs (including PPO, EPO, CDHP products, and State Preferred); BlueCare Health Plan programs (including POE, POS, Prime, and State BlueCare); Pathway Small Group HMO and PPO; and Pathway Individual HMO and PPO products, programs, and benefit plans. Note that these changes do not apply to MediBlue HMO and PPO products, programs, and benefit plans.
The updated fee schedule will take effect October 1, 2024. The full schedule will be available in the Information Center in Availity Essentials starting July 1, 2024. Please refer to this site or contact the Provider Call Center at 800-922-3242 if you have any questions.
We appreciate your partnership and look forward to continuing to work with you to provide the people we mutually serve in Connecticut access to high-quality, affordable healthcare.
