Thank you for the feedback you have shared about the introduction of the Availity multi-payer Authorization application to the Anthem Blue Cross network. We would like to share some improvements we are making to the App as a result of your feedback.

Behavioral health submissions and inquiries on Interactive Care reviewer (ICR)

We appreciate the input you have provided about the landing page to ICR. The landing page was designed with the intent to make it easier to navigate to ICR, but we have heard it was confusing. We have made an update to the landing page to make it easier to understand and to navigate to ICR. You will find the updated landing page with access to ICR after you have entered the member information for your authorization submission.  Below is an example of the updated landing page.

Authorization reference number
The amount of time it takes to receive your authorization reference number has been prolonged during this initial launch period. While it may take a few extra minutes, this does not prevent you from continuing to submit additional authorizations. You can access your authorization reference number for a submitted case from the dashboard. We are working on a resolution and hope to have this time lapse corrected in January.

We will continue to make enhancements to the Anthem experience in the Availity multi-payer Authorization application based on your input and feedback. If you are experiencing an issue using the application, reach out to Availity Client Services at 800-282-4548. Share as much detail as possible with the services team. Screen shots, case information, and dates of service are all helpful pieces of information to assist them in identifying and correcting the issues.
