Patient liability claims reprocessing project completion

Please note, this communication applies to Anthem HealthKeepers Plus Medicaid products offered by HealthKeepers, Inc.

Previously, HealthKeepers, Inc. notified providers of a claims processing inaccuracy regarding patient liability (patient pay) and batch claims processing for home- and community-based services, including agency-directed care and adult day healthcare services. This error caused the claims processing system to inadvertently deduct the patient liability from some claims received on the same date and time (generally in the same batch).

HealthKeepers, Inc. implemented a solution to resolve this issue on August 27, 2023. All affected claims have been reprocessed. Providers with unresolved claims issues related to this error can reach out to their assigned provider relationship management representative or email valtsspr@anthem.com.
