Important information about specialty prescriptions

Effective March 1, 2025, most specialty prescriptions currently being dispensed by CarelonRx Specialty Pharmacy were transferred to BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy for Anthem HealthKeepers Plus members.

What happens next?

  • If you have patients affected by this pharmacy change, BioPlus will contact you to request new prescriptions, refills, or preapprovals. You will also receive a letter from CarelonRx Specialty Pharmacy.
  • Current specialty prescriptions with open refills will automatically transfer to BioPlus.
  • Impacted patients will receive a letter and a phone call, explaining this transition.
  • There is nothing you or your patients need to do except speak with BioPlus when they call.
