Electronic visit verification for home health services

HealthKeepers, Inc. will require the use of electronic visit verification (EVV) for certain home health services rendered to the members. HealthKeepers, Inc. is working with Netsmart for EVV data aggregation and claims submission in Virginia. Netsmart EVV compares prior authorizations, schedules, and rendered service data to ensure compliance and allows you to review claims prior to submission. We will no longer accept paper claims for dates of services on or after December 1, 2023. Please do not wait until November 30, 2023, to begin registration with Netsmart. This will allow you several months to ensure your system will not result in a loss of cash flow.

EVV activities and milestones:

• Netsmart system fully configured for EVV launched September 14^th. After September 14^th, you should begin using Netsmart. Your claims will continue to pay; however, you may receive an informational E80 edit to submit claims through Netsmart.
• Providers must register with Netsmart for system access. Please visit https://mobilecaregiverplus.com/anthem-healthkeepers-plus/registration/ to register. Training materials will also be available upon completing registration.
• Providers who choose to go with a different EVV vendor/third-party vendor must register with Netsmart to integrate/sync systems with Netsmart. Please visit https://mobilecaregiverplus.com/anthem-healthkeepers-plus/ to initiate that process.
• Mandatory EVV go live December 1^st.
