Electronic visit verification for home health services

The original electronic visit verification (EVV) soft launch date has been delayed for home health. Please continue to submit your Medicaid home health claims for HealthKeepers, Inc. as you do today.

Beginning September 14, 2023, HealthKeepers, Inc. will require the use of EVV for certain home health services rendered to Anthem HealthKeepers Plus members. HealthKeepers, Inc. is working with Netsmart* for EVV data aggregation and claims submission in Virginia. Netsmart EVV compares prior authorizations, schedules, and rendered service data to ensure compliance and allows you to review claims prior to submission. We will no longer accept paper claims for dates of services on or after December 1, 2023.

EVV activities and milestones:

• Providers can register with Netsmart beginning July 17.
• Informational webinar with HealthKeepers, Inc. and Netsmart July 27.
• Informational webinar with HealthKeepers, Inc. and Netsmart August 16.
• Netsmart system fully configured for EVV soft launch September 14. Your claims will continue to pay; however, you may receive an informational E80 edit to submit claims through Netsmart.
• Mandatory EVV will go live December 1.
