Steamfitters Local Union No. 420 retirees join our PPO plan

Effective January 1, 2025, Steamfitters Local 420 in Pennsylvania will offer our secure preferred provider organization (PPO) plan. The plan will provide medical benefits for Steamfitters Local 420 retirees through the PPO plan, which includes the National Access Plus benefit. The plan allows members to receive services from any provider if the provider is eligible to receive payments from Medicare.

Steamfitters Local 420 members’ copay or coinsurance percentage will be the same whether their provider is in-network or out-of-network.

Noncontracted providers may continue treating Steamfitters Local 420 members and will be reimbursed 100% of Medicare’s allowed amount for covered services, less any member share-of-cost (SOC).

The Medicare Advantage plan includes all of the hospital and medical benefits that Medicare covers, plus extra benefits such as LiveHealth Online^® and SilverSneakers^®.

The prefix on the Medicare Advantage ID cards is J2H.

Providers will follow their normal claim filing procedures for Steamfitters Local 420 member claims.
