Get faster, more detailed results with expanded CPT code search capabilities in Availity Essentials

We’re pleased to announce we’ve expanded the Current Procedural Terminology^® (CPT) code search capabilities in the Availity Essentials Eligibility and Benefit tool.

In addition to enabling the use of up to eight specific CPT or Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) codes per transaction, the system has enhanced capabilities. These capabilities help save time and include other features for more accurate and personalized search results, including:

• Authorization requirement notifications — so you know upfront if an authorization is needed.
• Additional plan-level benefit limitation details.
• Cost-share information displayed by places of service and procedure codes.

Displaying these specifics directly on the search result page allows you to get the information you need, right when you need it, saving time and reducing administrative work.
