Reimbursement Policy Update - Drug Screen Testing (Professional)

Beginning January 1, 2024, Empire became Anthem. This article, published under the former brand, now applies to Anthem.

Beginning with dates of service on or after April 28, 2019, Empire policy language will be updated to allow the lower level definitive code drug testing of 1-7 drug class(es) (G0480) on the same day as presumptive services. Additionally, the definitive drug testing related coding section was expanded for clarification.
