New Blue HPN® network included in plans available for employee open enrollment Fall 2021
As employers across the country host open enrollment periods for their employees, those in New Hampshire have the opportunity to offer a new option this fall - plans built around a Blue High Performance Network.
BlueHPN® plans offer access to a select set of providers with a record of delivering high-quality, efficient care. BlueHPN networks launched in 2021 in more than 50 markets across the country. As of January 1, 2022, Anthem will offer plans with access to the Blue Connection HPN, which includes network providers in Hillsborough, Rockingham and Strafford counties in New Hampshire.
Beginning January 1, 2022, you may see members accessing this network through a BlueHPN national employer plan, or members of plans sponsored by a local employer.
These plans are Exclusive Provider Under EPO plans, which means out of network benefits are limited to emergency or urgent care. Members may be required to select a primary care provider, but PCP referrals are not required for specialty care.
If you are not sure whether your practice is part of the network, ask your office manager or business office, or contact your Anthem network representative. BlueHPN participation will be displayed in provider profiles in our provider directory January 1, 2022.
