BlueHPN network live in New Hampshire

BlueHPN^® plans offer access to a select set of providers with a record of delivering high-quality, efficient care. BlueHPN networks launched in 2021 in more than 50 markets across the country.

 

This year, Anthem will offer plans with access to the Blue Connection HPN, which includes network providers in Hillsborough, Rockingham and Strafford counties in New Hampshire.

 

Beginning January 1, 2022, you may see members accessing this network through a BlueHPN national employer plan, or members of Blue Connection plans sponsored by a local employer.

 

These plans are Exclusive Provider (EPO) plans, which means out of network benefits are limited to emergency or urgent care. Members may be required to select a primary care provider, but PCP referrals are not required for specialty care.

 

If you are not sure whether your practice is part of the network, ask your office manager or business office, or contact your Anthem network representative. BlueHPN participation is displayed in provider profiles in our provider directory.

 

The easiest way to identify a member of an HPN plan is to look for the “BlueHPN” in a suitcase on the member ID card. Below is a sample ID card for a Blue Connection plan member in New Hampshire.
