Coverage for PFAS and PFC blood tests for New Hampshire residents

 

Effective September 21, 2020, Anthem provides coverage for perfluoroalkyls (PFAS) and perfluorinated compound (PFC) blood testing for members who are residents of New Hampshire. PFAS and PFC testing is available from Quest Diagnostics, Inc., with testing covered subject to the same member cost shares that would apply to other diagnostic lab services.

 

Providers ordering PFAS/PFC testing should use ICD-10 code Z13.88 (Encounter for screening for disorder due to exposure to contaminants) to ensure testing is covered as required by the NH mandate.
