Introducing Anthem’s Maine HMO Tiered Options

We are pleased to introduce Anthem’s new Maine HMO Tiered Options plans available to Anthem small groups in Maine as of July 1, 2019.  Maine HMO Tiered Options plans offer two extensive network choices providing access to medical care professionals and hospitals in Maine and throughout New England.  Tier 1 includes all providers in Anthem’s Pathway Enhanced narrow network.  Tier 2 includes providers in Anthem’s HMO Blue New England Health Plan network.  

Members enrolled in a Maine HMO Tiered Options plan will experience lower costs and cost shares on a range of services when using Tier 1 providers.  These services include but are not limited to PCP visits, specialist visits, and urgent care.  The Maine HMO Tiered Options plan prefix, TXH, will be displayed on the member’s identification card.
