Enhance care provider data accuracy with updated roster tools

To ensure seamless integration with current market standards, we encourage you to use the latest Roster Automation Standard Template when using the Upload Roster option via Provider Data Management on Availity Essentials. Although previous versions will still be accepted, the newest version is designed to enhance submission accuracy and efficiency.

The updated template simplifies the process for care providers and benefits members by ensuring that provider information is current and accurate. This leads to smoother access to services and a reduction in errors.

Check the first row on the User Reference Guide tab to verify that you’re using the July 2025 template. You may continue to use your own roster format as long as it adheres to the Rules of Engagement.

Key features in the July 2025 template:

  • Training access: You can quickly find roster training courses by checking the second row of the User Reference Guide tab.
  • Streamlined Updates tab: Easily update provider records using the new Updates tab. Complete all required fields in the Required for ALL Transactions section, which is highlighted in dark orange, plus anything required in the specific category section for what you are updating. You can leave all other required category sections not pertaining to your update, and non‑essential fields blank.
  • Consistent column order: The Add, Termination, and Updates tabs have aligned columns that simplify the experience.
  • Professional guidance: Access helpful tips by clicking on column headings for information on professional title suffixes.
  • MD/DO required fields: The category sections related to educational fields for MDs and DOs have been streamlined for ease of use.
