Help your patients stay covered as Medicaid redeterminations continue
This communication applies to the Commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare Advantage programs from Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield (Anthem) in Indiana.
During the COVID-19 public health emergency, nearly all Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) members were able to stay enrolled in their current health coverage regardless of changes in eligibility or status. As Medicaid redeterminations continue, your patients may have to take additional steps to keep their current coverage or find a new plan.
If your patients who have a Medicaid or CHIP plan don’t redetermine their coverage or if they no longer qualify, they are at risk of losing their benefits, including the ability to stay with their current doctors and healthcare providers. Nationwide, 18 million people could potentially be disenrolled.1
How to help your patients stay covered and in your care
We’ve put together resources to help you and your patients through the Medicaid redetermination process and to avoid gaps in their coverage and care.
