2025 Individual Health Insurance Marketplace (Exchange) plans from Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Georgia

Types of individual health plans

In 2025, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield is offering ACA-compliant health plans through two different networks:

  • Pathway Network: Sold since the ACA was implemented in 2014:
    • Pathway and Pathway Guided Access plans are offered statewide.
    • Pathway PCP Copay Choice plans were introduced in 2024. Plans will be offered in eleven counties in the Atlanta service area in 2025.
  • Blue Value Individual Network HMO:
    • Blue Value plans are being expanded from 61 to 102 counties. This expansion includes the cities of Atlanta and Columbus.

Anthem is discontinuing its Individual plans that are not ACA-compliant:

  • Anthem Enhanced Choice: The federal government has changed its rules about how long short-term plans like Anthem Enhanced Choice plans can be offered. Anthem has discontinued offering these plans to new members but will allow those currently enrolled to continue their coverage through their contract end date. We are sending letters to these members recommending that they enroll on Marketplace plans during the 2025 Open Enrollment period.
