New Reimbursement Policy - Ambulance Transportation - professional

Beginning with dates of service on or after September 1, 2019, we will implement a new professional reimbursement policy, Ambulance Transportation.  This policy allows reimbursement for ambulance transport and services and supplies associated with transport to the nearest facility equipped to treat the member. The policy details services that are included in the base rate, services reimbursed separately from the base rate, when ambulance response and treatment with no transport is reimbursable, and when services are not reimbursable.  For additional information, visit the Reimbursement Policy page at anthem.com/provider.
