New for July 1, 2020: Anthem to administer health benefits for new members covered under the Connecticut Partnership Plan - additional membership to transition October 1
We are pleased to announce that effective July 1, 2020, Anthem will administer the health benefits for employees of all groups newly entering the Connecticut Partnership Plan. In addition, we will begin administering benefits for all State of Connecticut employees, under 65 retirees and their dependents effective October 1, 2020. On that date, employees currently covered under the Connecticut Partnership Plan will also transition to Anthem-administered benefits.
Connecticut Partnership Plan members will be enrolled in the State BlueCare POS plan utilizing the State BlueCare Tiered provider network. The Anthem member ID numbers for all Connecticut Partnership Plan members will begin with the alpha-prefix SHP, and the ID card will display the State of CT Partnership Plan group name as shown in the example provided below.
Plan benefits under the Connecticut Partnership Plan, whether effective July 1 or October 1, are the same.
