Earlier today, Anthem, Inc., announced that IngenioRx, its new pharmacy benefit manager, will enter the market ahead of schedule. We’re excited to launch our new pharmacy solution – now even sooner. We will begin transitioning our members in the second quarter of 2019 and expect to complete the transition by Q1 2020. We’ll continue to keep you updated through our provider newsletter.

 

For providers who use e-prescribing for home delivery and specialty pharmacy prescriptions, there will be no change and the process for requesting a prior authorization is not changing. Those care providers not using e-prescribing will send home delivery and specialty pharmacy prescriptions to IngenioRx after members have transitioned.
