Enhanced efficiency in dispute handling
To reduce the administrative burden on contracted facilities during provider payment or contract disputes, we are pleased to announce the elimination of the previously required meet and confer condition for initiating mediation or arbitration. This change applies to facilities in our Commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare Advantage networks.
From now on, facilities can access the dispute resolution process without the need to submit a meet and confer, and we are not required to engage in one before a facility initiates arbitration or requests mediation. Any references to a meet and confer before arbitration or mediation in facility agreements or related provider manuals and policies are now considered obsolete.
For any questions regarding this update, please reach out to your provider relationship management representative.
We are focused on reducing administrative burdens so you can do what you do best — care for our members.
